at | Oukey, our CB match of the week was against I Gladiatori from Italy. Well, these spaghettis showed our place pretty well ;) The match was played on two servers. Openfire_l was played on NGI server where we had poor pings of cuz and our map, Well was played on K20 Clan Server. Thanks to [K20]Extacy and [K20]Megiz for that. I had no clue how experienced the GLA was, all I knew that they had play more matches than we. They had first problems to get 8 players but eventually thay got the 8th player and the match started, about 25 mins late though...

First we played openfire_l on their NGI server. I had decent ping there but others were complaining about it. Well, the Openfire has never been very good map for us so we took shit loads of beating. They didn't do anything impressive or outstanding, they used simple tactics, concs and spies to trick our def to it's knees. It's all about skill I think, we have good solid team and we communicate well on RW nowadays. The problem is our inexperience but that can be corrected with matches and prac. We also must use more spies as SGs seem to be a little prob for our offensive. I played as button solly and Juham was on the flag. Teamwork was fine but there were few mistakes that we need to correct. Gambit was balconmy HW and he did good job as far as communication goes, sohlo was in water as solly and he did fine too. Okay, Verikoira did okay job as well, he placed those SGs with good pace.

I choosed Well for our map. We have pracced this map couple times and I think that our def tactics are good in this one, dump the engy ! Well, as Well is never a capfest so we had poor changes to turn the tables. They capped 4 times which is quite poor effort from our def. Blaming finger points to me, Ameepa and Verikoira. We must prac more the defence in well room as they got the flag pretty easily from our stupid mistakes. We had few touches on the flag and we capped once... Wow...
Well
Well, this match shows that we need two things. First our defence must work better as a team, we make stupid mistakes and get confused. Second, we won't win matches with defence, we need striking offence that can cap the flags. Both these issues can be overcome with lot of prac. Thanks to I Gladiatori for a nice & whineless match, hope to play against you guys later.

Openfire_l: In very few words, it was very boring and uneventful map for our offense. Attackers were Ameepa, Hugo and me. They had two soldier defense at the button which proved to be pretty hard to pass and the high pings didn't help at all. My concs were f***d up even more that usual. We got one flagtouch and the flag ended on the lower floor and returned from there. After a while I almost got a flagtouch, but instead of getting the flag I got gibbed as the lasers turned on.

Well: On this map we didn't have the high ping handicap, but that didn't help us attack much better. We changed Ameepa from off to def and replaced him with Gambit. Their HW guy was a real pain in the place where sun don't shine. So waterway was blocked pretty good with him, then there were the soldiers at the corridor, they were decent soldiers, but they were passable. Their defense was complete with the engineer (and his collegue at the end of the map) who had his sentry in the attic. We got one flagtouch which ended in a cap. HuGo got the flag from the empty tower and managed to chug the flag out of the window at the yard. They defended the flag like a pack of hyenas protecting a corpse. They had the whole arsenal in the yard, soldiers, hwguy and sentry. We fought the flag to the water, where it almost returned but then the next stop was the console between the bases, HuGo got the flag again and finally capped. Very good game with no whining or lamers of any kind.
