Clan Q, formerly known as Defenders of Suomi had been challenged us few times but we hadn't the chance to play before now. Well, we agreed that match starts 21:00 and maps are stowaway_l & openfire_l. Well, before the match they changed their map to 2fort and told to some of our members about it (Hint: next time, contact clan leader in such matters). Well, as it was prac match, I let it go... Another thing that Q should train on is to get membs on time to the server. The match started 30+ mins late. To ppl who have vacation from school etc, this is not a prob. To people who go to work and wake up 6.00 AM, it is a bit awkward. They had also problems to get full team but eventually they had 8 members present. Server was K20 clan server and it worked fine, again thanks for the loan.
2fort started and our def was on ice or sumthing as they capped twice quite quickly. We had some flag touches but no score. Then they capped 3th time and I was getting worried. This time our offence did a great job and capped 4 times so we won 40 - 30. Our def got some spirit from our caps and we played better then. In the end, there was huge spamfight at our upper respawn as they had our flag there. Eventually they took it and as they were about to cap it... map ends :P GG offence, you guyz saved the day :)
I was not quite sure how we would handle openfire with our new def tactic that we had pracced quite a lot. We had many flagtouches but again, they capped first. This time we didn't give them anymore advance as our offence capped also. We capped again and rest of the map we had the lead. Our def in overall did good job, especially sohlo as flag HW, you saved many caps :) Very nice map indeed, Q had good offence but we had better defence :) This time =Q= pneumatic capped our flag just as map ended... Someone mentioned poetic justice ?
Hmm, victory this time. It always gives a smile to my face, especially as we had been kicked in the butt last few matches. Defence should be more alert in the beginning and I should not run 4.5 km jogging events before matches :p (curse on Ameepa & Topper !)
